Cosentino Debuts Installation at BUILDEX Vancouver 2023 in collaboration with Vancouver-based design firm Nicram Studio
Cosentino Group brought its latest products and collections to life with an interactive display at this year’s BUILDEX Vancouver, which took place at the Vancouver Convention Centre from February 15 to 16. The expo, now in its 34th year, marks Western Canada’s largest gathering of building industry professionals and showcases the contemporary trends and innovations from across design, architecture, construction, and beyond.
Balancing playfulness with beautiful design
Amid the best in new design and building materials, technologies and services, Cosentino stood out for its immersive installation, developed in collaboration with Vancouver-based design firm Nicram Studio. The display was inspired by the luxe, dreamlike beauty of Cosentino’s Dekton® Onirika Collection, designed by award-winning interior designer Nina Magon. The collection uses ultra-compact, carbon neutral Dekton® stone to craft beautiful architectural surfaces with marbled accents that are perfect for flooring, cladding, and countertops. Alongside additional products from the Dekton® Kraftizen and Silestone® Sunlit Days collections, the interactive installation was designed to feel like home—featuring everything from a kitchenette and vanity to a seated gathering space complete with a play area.
“We are excited [that we could] offer a unique look at the many new collections coming to life this year through an innovative installation,” commented Karim Guirguis, Regional Director for Cosentino Canada. “Our BUILDEX exhibit [balanced] playfulness with beautiful design.”
Classic styles made contemporary
The Cosentino booth also previewed a new sustainable stone collection, Dekton® Pietra Kode, by renowned Argentinian designer and architect Daniel Germani. This high-performance collection reinterprets the timeless beauty of three classic Italian stones and adapts them for the contemporary home. With a virtually limitless range of indoor and outdoor applications, these carbon neutral, durable Dekton® surfaces offer modern architecture and design solutions with a classic antique style.
Other contemporary, sustainable designs highlighted in the Cosentino exhibit include:
Dekton® Silverkoast
The Dekton® Silverkoast Collection is inspired by the serene and immense whites of the Pacific, combining California's iconic coastline with the elegant beauty of two emblematic marbles: Carrara and Ivory White. The collection is the first to use Quick Cut™ Technology, which allows for easy and efficient installation.
Dekton® Gocce Shower Trays
The Dekton® Gocce Shower Tray Collection provides a simple yet functional tray design that can easily be adapted into any bathroom space. Available in three Dekton colours and two size formats, Gocce offers a hygienic, stylish, and sleek shower tray manufactured with slip-resistant Dekton Grip+ technology.
Silestone® Evita Bathroom Sinks
The Silestone® Evita Bathroom Sink Collection provides seamless sink and countertop integration through its sleek, jointless design. Made from a single piece of Silestone®, the minimalist, contemporary design eliminates the joints between pieces to ensure perfect cleanliness.
